The Great Master Root (2008) was the first of my large-scale print that I crafted by breaking a whole image into smaller ones and later sewing them together again, resulting in a unique printed textile work. The development of this method is related to my interest in assemblage, patchwork and dressmaking.
In these series, I used fabrics like damask, highlighting the textured pattern of this kind of fabric via the printed image. In addition, I add muslin to many works which I print as layers that veil or highlight parts of the underlying prints.
